Montessori Toddler Introductory Course

This course will guide and provide childcare educators with tools to meet the needs of the children in a Toddler Community. Upon completion participants will have the knowledge and skills to support a rich learning environment.

This course consists of four (4) weekly in class sessions.

Students receive a certificate upon successful completion.

Course Content includes:

  • Montessori theory and an Introduction to the Toddler Community
  • The Preparation of the Adult
  • Creating Spaces for the Development of Movement
  • Creativity and Art for Toddlers
  • Language Development for Toddlers

Learning Outcomes:

At the end of the course participants will:

  • Be aware of the toddler’s developmental needs in the Montessori Toddler Community
  • Understand Montessori theory as it pertains to movement, art and creativity and language
  • Understand practices for toilet independence
  • Be able to design an optimal environment for Toddlers, including materials required for each area of the classroom

  • Early Bird $200.00
  • Regular     $225.00

Prerequisites:

Students must by at least 16 years of age.
