Montessori Early Childhood Assistant Course Fully In-Class Calgary

This course consists of seven (7) weekly, in-class modules.

Students receive a certificate upon successful completion.

At the end of this course, participants will be able to:

  • Present early to intermediate Montessori materials in all curriculum areas 
  • Prepare children for reading, writing, and math
  • Offer a variety of engaging and stimulating activities to children in the classroom or at home 
  • Integrate Montessori principles that foster calmness, concentration, and self-discipline in the child
  • Recognize various basic areas of child development
  • Understand and respond to children effectively and efficiently
  • Work in child settings
  • Make a difference in the lives of children
  • Lesson and program plan to meet children’s developmental needs
  • Support effective group management while serving individual needs

Prerequisite:

  • Students must be at least 16 years of age.
  • Students must have access to Montessori materials.

In Class Sessions:  Attendance is required for all 7 classes

Time to Complete :

Day 1: 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
Day 2 – 7: 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
